Vanessa D. Anthony

Writer/Producer/Visual Artist

She has been involved in television and independent horror film for over 17 years. She graduated from Savannah College of Art where she studied video and multimedia. It was not long until she discovered her  passion for Television Production. In 2001 and 2002 ,she interned with CNN and has gained hands on experience from TV professionals. Vanessa shadowed producers who trained her to be punctual, creative, and skillful in project development. Following this, she landed a position as a log coordinator with Turner Network Television in the television programming division. At the same time, she worked as a Production Assistant on the set of Turner Classic Movies. Such experience had inspired her to write and produce her own TV Show for Cable Television where she put managed  a production crew and hired a TV host. In November 2004, She moved to Tokyo, Japan to become an ESL Instructor. Vanessa had the opportunity of a life time to land a job as a voice Talent with NHK English Radio,  a leading Japanese radio and TV station. I was inspired to start my own production company while in Japan called Movie Mad Entertainment, LLC. The company has  produced short films and a TV series that showcased artists residing in Japan. Her  projects have been selected and screened at the New York Independent Film Festival, The Pumelo International Film Festival, The Urban MediaMakers Film Festival and The Tokyo Design Festa. Upon her return to the United States, She has continued to work in production. Vanessa's current project is a mini series which deals with a very common issue, Battered Woman Syndrome. The project was first completed as a feature screenplay but she decided to turn it into a mini TV series because there is so much to tell.
